1st time out on the water since last Oct :-(

WSM is pretty gusty in this wind direction (cross-off), with little wind on the beach, and a band of wind funnelling between Uphill & Brean Down, where it gets a bit manic.

A good day - well worth the trip.

Interestingly, the tide seems to hang around for longer than it used to: Looking at the wooden posts down the beach, the tall posts - which used to be about 15 or 16 feet, are now only about 9 or 10 feet tall, so there must be an additional several feet of sand that didn't used to be there, and a distinct lip down to the (unfortunately still present) black slimy mud.
